LILY LUNA POTTER
these eyes you bought have gone to my head
but they won't take you to my bed
you talk a good game, but girl you've been played
look at this face you choose to play
the town talk keeps me up to date
we will never be the same
take off your colours who are you wearing them for?
tick off your lovers all respect was left at the door.
i had a front row seat to you on your knees
it was everything i hope it be
these eyes you bought have gone to my head
but they won't take you to my bed
"hullo! -waves- the name is lily luna potter. lily or lils, please, don't listen to james and call me pipsqueak because that's not my name. and yes, i am the daughter of harry potter, now can we please get passed that you have no clue how many times i have heard that in my life time and i am only twenty three years old. -rolls eyes- if you must know i am a halfblood. my mother is full and my father is half, so yeah. when i attended hogwarts i was a gryffindor, wouldn't change that for the world! -smiles- gender? what do i look like to you? if you say male, i swear! and i am straight, so don't get any ideas. i guess a lot has changed since my schooling days. i no longer work at honeydukes, though i did achieve my dream of becoming a professional quidditch player, though i retired last year. not exactly as much fun when you play every single day, i guess. but i am still your average ol' witch!
oh and one last thing, who is this karen gillan bird? people say i look a lot like her and i don't have a clue! -laughs-"
you talk a good game, but girl you've been played
look at this face you choose to play
"geeze, it's like question after question with you. -shakes head- things i like...? hmm. well i like quidditch for one, i mean why else would i do it professionally? okay maybe i need to be more serious. i like to read, i read a lot now to be honest. story time at home, it never gets old. sleeping in late, mint pies, pulling harmless pranks, and staying up late; i guess you can't get rid of everything. star gazing is still a big hobby of mine, making those wishes. same thing with going on walks. it's helps to clear my head. oh but i love taking pictures! -nods- cameras are so nifty, i never really realized it.
dislikes? oh i could go on and on about things i don't like. i guess i could start off with things that haven't really changed; like thunderstorms or when people talk about my family. i hate being reminded of who i am. do people honestly think that i don't know? i digress, even though we have gotten older my brother still fight and i hate to be the one in the middle. i am like the neutral party. the "safe zone". it get tiring after a while. just like waking up in the middle of the night. or being told what to do. i am twenty three now, i think i can handle myself! which is another things people don't understand. just like i don't understand why there are bees on this bloody planet. they are the scariest thing in the world! -makes a scared face- just like spiders. but so i won't take up soo much time i will say one more, growing up. i kinda feel like i missed a lot, like everything just skipped ahead eight years.
i have a lot of downfalls. -sighs- like being gullible. i bet if you told that one of my family members was in the hospital or that this was a interview for a reality show i would totally believe you. and you think i'm joking. i am still a bit conceded too. i mean i don't see myself as the best thing out there but i am a pretty great catch, if i do say so myself! oh. there i go again. i am also pretty blunt now. i don't normally think about what i say sometimes. i just say it. like if i don't like you, i'll tell you. -palm to face- that's another problem. i am pretty ill tempered, it's that weasley blood in me. people tend to set me off a bit quickly if they continues to nag me about something. i also have the tendency to think i am always right. something that has been with me since my younger years. -shrugs- i'm stubborn.
oh! the positive bits about me? well i am trustworthy. tell me a secret and i'll keep it until death. you think i'm lying, try me. -smiles- i am pretty intelligent. i kinda got to work my last few years in hogwarts. scored pretty high on my o.w.l.'s, it was amazing. i am very loyal and very respectful. i guess that's what makes me such a great friend. i have a quick whit too. i can come up with something like -snaps fingers- that! i don't think i am so great at being innocent anymore but it still works. i am still wicked at potions! maybe i should have gone into that field of occupation. or maybe writing for the quibler!
goals in life? so like inhibitions? well i sort of want to get married soon. i mean not like tomorrow or anything. but i would be nice to have that special someone. the person who is always there when you get home. someone to talk to, who never judges. so i guess that's a goal. same with maybe having children. though not exactly right now. a bit down the road. another would be to write that book i am always talking about that i have never gotten around to. that would be interesting.
what am i afraid of? oh well i said i didn't like spiders or bees. but i am truly afraid of death. i hate to think about it. either that or someone in my family passing on. i don't think i would be able to handle losing someone. especially my mum or dad. or ever james, albus and teddy. okay i need to think of something else -wipes face- i don't like heights. it was all i could do to get on a plane when we too that family vacation the summer holiday before my seventh year. i swear i thought i was going to pass out or hyperventilate! oh i guess that could be one of my strengths. what i mean is, calming down easily. i can do that easy! i guess my family would be one too. they are like my rock. they keep me grounded. a third one, my smarts! i bet i know more then you do. -rolls eyes- oh there that concededness again! so, are we done yet?"
the town talk keeps me up to date
we will never be the same
Lily Luna Potter is the only daughter of Harry and Ginny, and is the youngest of their three children. She is named after Harry's mother and her parents "dear friend”, Luna Lovegood. When she was born she developed red hair inherited from her mother and both of her grandmothers. She is one years younger than her brother, Albus. And she is two years younger than her brother, James, and a family friend Teddy; who was pretty much like another brother. As she grew up she began going through the same things her father had gone through. Being able to do things she couldn’t explain. Well she could explain them because she knew them to be magic. This was very open in their home; you just weren’t allowed to use it whenever you wanted, only in a controlled environment where no Muggle’s were present. Lily loved to watch her brother’s study with their father. She did as well just not as much as them simply because she would be the last to go off to Hogwarts and Harry had plenty of time to train her. Though, Lily didn’t completely understand. Her mother told her it was because they were older than her and that they would be the ones going to school first, not her. But Teddy didn't see it that way. He was basically the one who taught her everything before she even stepped on to the Express.
In her early years Lily had fiery red hair, but as she grew older it started to fade into a honey brown-ish color. But that wasn’t the only thing that changed. She used to have the darkest brown eyes ever; she got them from her mother. However, those changed too, into an ice blue; a piercing color that her parents don’t know where she inherited them from. It was strange. Though, Lily grew up as every child did. She learned how crawl, walk, sit, and stand. When she was seven, for Christmas she got her very own broom; Regales 4000. She loved it and she took it to mean that her father was going to teach her to fly(So add flying to that list of movements). That was the intent indeed. Later that holiday the two went out to the back yard and Harry began to teach her the basics just as he was taught. Though, being his daughter, she contained the same knowledge. She seemed to already know what to do and how to control it. Harry thought this was odd because she was such a clumsy little girl.
In the next few years she would see her two older brothers go off to Hogwarts. -Though it was worse when Teddy left.- She desperately wanted to go. When it was Albus’ turn to go for his first year, Lily could remember it perfectly. That day would be stuck in her memory for a long time. She wanted to just follow her brothers and Teddy on to the train and go away too but, of course, her mother had a tight grip on her. She knew how her daughter’s mind worked and knew most of the things before she even did; only because Ginny used to be the same exact way. As the years passed by, she went to a public school until she turned eleven. That’s when she received her invitation to go and study at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Her brothers joked on for getting so worked up on it. However Teddy seemed to be just as happy as she was and this made her unbelievably excited. She was a very impatient child and she wasn’t very good at waiting for a long period of time.
Lily was finally where she wanted to be; Hogwarts. Right away she made friends, studied hard, and pulled a few pranks here and there. She was a Weasley as well as a Potter, after all. It was in her blood. Yes, Lily felt like she was on top of the world. Until her first Quidditch match of the season; she had always loved the game but walking out onto that pitch made her stomach go into knots. Her father would take her and her brothers to see the professionals play. That’s where she fell in love and ever since she had wanted to be a professional Quidditch player. Her father told her about how he was the captain of Gryffindor team when he was in his later years. When she could she wanted to try out but her brothers discouraged her and told her she wasn’t good enough. They were only joking of course but she didn’t take it that way.
Her final Hogwarts years were pretty memorable for the most part. She had a lot of friends, though some of them were either because of her well known name or her brothers. She was always in their shadow. Quidittch also made Hogwarts bearable which she was being scouted for. Same with prefecting. It sort of gave her power. Like an on top of the world feeling. Maybe that's where the concededness all started. But will all that said, her studies did improve near the end of her term. Scored pretty high on her O.W.L.'s., like anyone really doubted. Hogwarts set her up pretty well to enter the "real world". The wizarding world that is. No one could have prepared her for the muggle world. It was so retched and vial. Sort of like the Gryffindor/Slytherin rivalry but everywhere!
Getting started was the hard part. Finding the job, the house, and the time to get everything done. It was a great relief when Lily made it on a professional Quidditch team. It was like a dream come true. To have a job right out of Hogwarts was amazing. Though doing it for a few years made it feel more retinue then anything. It just wasn't as fun anymore. Going to the pitch every single day. It made her lose her passion, though she still loved the game she knew she had to retire. And it was odd for someone with her skills to leave so young.
Now being twenty three, things are pretty much set. For the most part. She is where she wants to be financially. Though things are lacking a bit in the love department. Sure, there were loads of boys back in Hogwarts but they just seemed to be a part of the past. Just another face in the crowd. She would give anything to find her one true love. Who knows? Maybe she will find it now that she is older and not exactly looking for it.
